Summary: The presepsin level (a soluble CD14 subtype) is thought to increase in cases of bacterial infection. It has been stated that CD 14 also plays a role in the pathogenesis of various viral diseases. Crimean- Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) is an arboviral zoonotic infection.
